We’re thinking November 4, 2014 should be a global bro holiday? Why is that? Because that’s the date Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to be released. Sledgehammer Games is making its debut as the headline developer for the popular franchise, and Advanced Warfare will be available on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

“Every year the launch of Call of Duty is more than just another product launch; it’s a cultural event that draws millions of people together from all over the world,” said Tim Ellis, CMO of Activision Publishing, Inc. The latest promo for the game is a live action, CGI trailer directed by Peter Berg that features Taylor Kitsch and Emily Ratajkowski. The high-octane, 90-second piece is titled “Discover Your Power,” and it features the single “Salute Your Solution” by The Raconteurs, one of Jack White’s many musical side-projects. Like we said: it’s a global bro holiday. So what can gamers expect from the eleventh installment in the Call of Duty franchise?

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been described as the most radical reworking of the classic multiplayer game since the “Modern Warfare” installment. Movement is faster and more fluid and the customization is deeper.
1. First up: the exosuit. For a lack of a better phrase, the exosuit is a…wait for it… game changer. It not only makes you stronger and faster with the right add-ons, but it also gives you a double-jump boost; like Superman, you can reach all the high-points or take the window instead of the low door. If you want to power up, this baby will help you do it. And as we all know – power changes everything!
2. Advanced Warfare scraps the traditional heads-up display. All information is relayed to the gamer through holograph projections. Now that’s seriously high-tech!
3. The general gunplay in CoD: Advanced Warfare remains the same, but the choice of weaponry is different. Actually, it’s advanced (duh!). Gamers not only have access to conventional firearms, but they can also choose lasers or energy directed weapons. Say what? And try this one on for size. Certain guns can slowly recharge; all you have to do is take cover somewhere and wait for the ammo to reboot.

And that, gaming friends, is only the beginning.
